This Privacy Policy explains how Arève Sciences ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or join our waitlist. If you have questions, contact hello@arevesciences.com.

1. Who We Are

Arève Sciences is a pre-launch sleep science company. For any question about this policy or your data, contact hello@arevesciences.com.

2. What We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account and contact information

  • Email address provided when you join the waitlist
  • Name and account credentials if you create an account

Questionnaire responses

  • Sleep history, lifestyle habits, training load, and self-reported health information you provide during onboarding

Wearable sleep data (when you authorise it)

  • Accessed via OAuth integration with Oura and/or WHOOP:
    • Sleep summaries (total sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep scores)
    • Sleep stages (REM, light, deep, and awake time)
    • Heart rate variability (HRV)
    • Respiratory rate
    • Resting heart rate and other recovery metrics provided by the authorised integration

3. How We Collect It

We collect wearable data only after you explicitly authorise access through the official OAuth consent screen of your wearable provider (Oura or WHOOP). You may revoke this access at any time through your provider's account settings or through our platform. We never request your wearable account password.

4. Why We Use It

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Establish your individual sleep baseline
  • Match you to a personalised protocol drawn from your specific data
  • Measure change over time and refine your protocol as new data arrives
  • Communicate with you about your waitlist status, protocol updates, and service information

We use your data only to deliver the service to you. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, sell it to third parties, or apply it to any purpose unrelated to your sleep protocol.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal information or health data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising or any form of behavioural profiling outside the delivery of your protocol.

6. Service Providers

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to host our site, send email, and operate our service. They may process data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.

7. Retention and Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting hello@arevesciences.com, and you can revoke our access to your wearable data at any time from your Oura or WHOOP account.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and safeguards designed to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your data ("right to erasure")
  • Portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Restrict or object to certain processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@arevesciences.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. Children

This service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred internationally, we use providers that offer recognised safeguards for that transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
